Veteran musician, singer and songwriter, Maka, began his musical journey in 1985,
after the profound affect reggae music and its spiritual message had on him. For
twenty years Maka has been performing in reggae bands in California and Hawaii.
In that time he has shared crucial experiences with reggae musicians, reggae music
listeners and Bredrin and Sistren of Rastafari. Countless club performances.
Many
road trips and outer island gigs. Sharing the stage with a long list of international
reggae artists and backing some as well. Maka is Livicated to his mission as a
singer, as player of instrument and as a messenger. Through years of reasoning
with Elders of Ras Tafari, he realized it was truly a divine force guiding his
path, as he strives to live his life as his Elders, with humility and love. Maka
is the founding and now former keyboardist/vocalist of Hawaii's top reggae band,
THC. After many years of directing all aspects of the music business, he sets
his Sight on a personal musical path, stepping from the keyboards and up to the
microphone as a Canscious Roots Singer. Like all the great roots reggae artists,
Maka is equally serious about his faith, Livity, and music. Experience, wisdom
and an unwavering sense of purpose are the strength and the spirit driving the
music and message. The music that he loves and performs is a Blessed Music, born
in Jamaica and brought to the four corners of the Earth. Iniversal Music in Praises

Love and Jah Music. Currently, Maka is performing at home on Oahu. He performs
weekly at his hometown club in Kailua (Red Stripe Reggae Night at Boardriders),
hosting the longest running reggae night on Oahu. He is backed by the I Sight
Band an ensemble of all-stars from many top local reggae bands. Maka is preparing
to promote "I Sight" with performances in Hawaii and then embark on
to the Pacific Rim (Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia) and then the West Coast, San
Diego to vancouver.
