Steele debuts on Jamaica's music charts |
Steele's sophomore cd "The Love of Jah" has made its entry on Jamaica's Music Countdown Top Ten Albums/CD charts, while his duet "New World (Remix)" with Queen Ifrica has been featured on Stampede's Street Charts. This is a remarkable feat for an artist residing in Canada.
In recent months MOBS Production has been working relentlessly in promoting the artist to that market. Steele's live performances, TV and radio interviews have made a lasting impression on the people of Jamaica and they have started to show their love and appreciation for the music being delivered by this lyrically conscious brother. Just recently, Steele's performance on the Peter Tosh Birthday Celebration was hailed as one of those that stood out for many fans and media alike. His interviews on radio stations such as Irie FM and Linkz FM afforded Steele the opportunity to speak with fans one on one about his development. His live TV performance on TVJ, one of the country's national network, has had many talking about his raw energy. With this, accompanied by two very well orchestrated music videos, recently produced by Fabrikated ProjeX, Steele's quest to impact the world with his music while residing in Canada is being made a reality, and the inclusion in Jamaica's music chart is a major step in that direction.
Steele CD Hits Top 20 on the Italian Reggae Charts
"The Love of Jah" has made its way on to the Top 20 Under Pressure Reggae Charts. The radio show Under Pressure is aired on TPN radio in Italy and simulcast in America on Caribbean Vibes radio. This program plays a major role in connecting many Europeans to the world of reggae music. Steele was blessed to have his first CD "Uncorrupted" make it on to the Gusma-T's run Top 20 charts, and this was instrumental in earning him an invitation to Rototom Reggae Festival, Italy's biggest Reggae Festival.
Steele says, "Thanks for the continued support you have shown me, I sincerely realize that without your love I'm nothing. My endeavor is not to stray from the formula that has brought me this far, and that is 110% positivity everytime."
