Steele a bundle of energy and charisma |
Below are some of the articles that said it best when referring to Steele's performance at the recently held Peter Tosh Birthday Celebration in western Jamaica. The artist dubbed the Canadian Sensation was in great form in front of an estimated 10,000 plus that came together to celebrate the earthstrong of one of reggae's most legendary artist, and for sure it was a night to be remembered.
Many said the deliverance and interaction from Steele was brilliant, especially when delivering songs such as "Slave Driver" and "Confession", in which Steele engaged the huge gathering in a question and answer period. Steele asked the women and men if they would ever confess about something they had done outside their relationship. With the overwhelming response of "no" that came from the audience, Steele concluded that since Jamaicans were not the type of people to cheat on there mates, no confession of any type would ever be necessary. This statement drew a huge "forward" from all in attendance. Steele ended his impressive set with "Betta Mus Come" and the reaction from the audience said it all.
The Jamaica Gleaner - Western Focus
"Steele, who flew in from Canada at his own expense to do the show, introduced himself with a brilliant cover of Bob Marley's Slave Driver, and went on to stamp his class with You Have Lost that Love, Better Must Come and the thought-provoking Confession."
The Jamaica Star (Jamaica Issue)
"The Canadian-based singer Steele, who spoke of the inspiration he got from Tosh, also played a brilliant set. In what was a standout performance, he was especially brilliant in his cover of Bob Marley's Slave Driver which had the patrons transfixed as full range was unveiled as the lyrics caressed the night."
The Jamaica Gleaner (Jamaica Issue)
"Steele was a bungle of energy and charisma. After introducing himself with his brilliant cover of Bob Marley's Slave Driver, he simply went into overdrive, creating musical joy as he danced and pranced around the stage, belting out songs such as You Have Lost That Love, Better Must Come and the thought-provoking Confession"
