My name Wellesly Chambers (aka Brimstone), born in Jamaica. Being around musicians all of my life, I've observed that my interest was and is in music. I know that I was born with a gift to sing and to spread a message to the world, this is my mission and goal, and its how the Most High reveals himself to me.
The music I create is based on reality and life and it is inspired by spiritual lyrics getting all my insight from the Most High. I also enjoy doing this to elevate the minds of the people in this world. Music to me is Life and my ultimate goal is to keep original Roots, Reggae Music alive.
Actively, creating and writing my own lyrics as an Independent Artist, along with my partner, Jeannie who arranges the lyrics and also does my backup harmonies, I then embarked on doing my recordings with Black Arrows Studio in Canada in 2005/2006, and completed my 1st CD, called 'Signs', which was released in May 2007. 14 songs are included in this CD for your listening pleasure.
I have been exposed by the June 2006 issue of entertainment news magazine "Reggae Xculsive", which comes out on a quarterly basis in Canada. As for interviews and airplay, I've been introduced by Carrie Mullings from Radio CHRY 105.5FM in Canada, which airs every Monday at 10am, and also had associations with radio stations in New York such as; Real Deal Radio WZZR 94.3FM in Mount Vernon, Royal Radio 106.3FM in Bronx, Virtual City Radio in Bronx, WKCR 89.9FM in Manhattan and Reggae Upliftment 101.5FM in Mount Vernon. I did an opening performance on Rootsbana 2006, with some other Canadian Reggae artists such as, Donna Makeda, Humble, and more, and I plan and look forward to doing many more shows in the near future.
