International Reggae & World Music Awards a huge success |

The 27th International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) went off without a hitch on Sunday, May 4 at the Apollo Theater in historic Harlem, New York. The red carpet arrivals were exciting as entertainers from the reggae and soca worlds turned out in their suits and gowns to mingle with media and hopefully pick up an award.

Warrior King has not been on the U.S. west coast since his May 2006 California tour and Reggae on the River performance. This 2006 tour had well received performances at Slims in San Francisco, The Belly Up in San Diego, The Vets Hall in Santa Cruz, The Rhythm Lounge in Long Beach, Coonies in Santa Barbara, The Last day Saloon in Santa Rosa and at the Mateel Community center in Humboldt CA. Saturday July 19th Warrior King is performing in Humboldt county at Benbow Lake. |

Alaine on the rise with new album |

Songbird Alaine has been wowing crowds home and away with hit tracks from her new album, Sacrifice (Don Corleon Records, 2007). Now the songstress is preparing for some major festivals and tours in the coming months, including the "Reggae on the Hill" festival later this month in Barbados, UCLA's Reggae and Jazz Festival in late May in California, and promotional tours in Europe and Japan slated for the upcoming months.
