Established in the year 2000, by the singer, Tom Lugo (Puerto Rico), guitarist
Samuel Hopf (USA), and drummer, Murxen Alberti (Germany). Out of this trio a small
orchestra developed over just a short period of time. Today, Jamaram consists
of 8 thoroughbred musicians. Over the course of these years the crew developed
their mature, unique sound with the addition of a bass guitar, keyboards, a horn
section, and percussion which completed them. |

Rising Son was formed in the year 2001 when singer/songwriter Levi began to collaborate
with Teknique [guitar] and K.C. Zebulon [keyboards]. The group would be assembled
through a series of timely events. "It was divine providence; I had written
all these songs and needed a creative outlet... all of a sudden, I started connecting
with these great musicians," says Levi. The three were later joined by Benji
on bass and began to jam and rehearse a series of songs. |

The Shango Band is a D.C. area reggae group that sings about real life and current
world issues with a likeable mix of smooth, lovers-edged tunes and harder, more
"true" roots tunes. With all-encompassing sound, strong instrumentation
and quality songwriting, the Shango Band has been performing since the late 1980's
and won the award for Best Reggae Band in the 2001 D.C. Annual Reggae Music Awards.
