Garvey was born in St Andrew, Jamaica with lineage stretching back to the philosopher
Marcus Garvey, his great great grand father. He grew up in Hermitage, August Town.
Growing up around University of West Indies he had to the opportunity to rub shoulders
with lots of musicians, like Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, U Roy, Dennis Brown, Israel
Vibration, Fred Locks and Jose Wales just to name a few.

Muchanza Akapelwa otherwise known as Dr Mooch was born in Lusaka, Zambia on July
8th, 1967. This DNA stems from a mom who sang, and a dad who wrote, yet both parents
were Teachers and Civil Servants. It is from this backdrop that Dr Mooch has been
performing on and off while pursuing other endeavors. From the early days in the
80's singing alto in Kafue Boys Choir, doing drama, being an amateur chess champion,
then going on to be one of Zambia's top Break dancers with his crew "The
Breakfreeze". |

Andrew grew up surrounded by music in the San Francisco Bay Area of California,
originally a drummer; he did a short tour with the Itals before starting the
reggae band Solid Foundation. Solid Foundation has since toured backing artists
as: Everton Blender, Richie Spice, Norris Man, Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Foundation,
and Prezident Brown. |
